Awhile back I posted here on the possibility that graduates of Trinity Western University will not be able to practice law in some Canadian provinces. TWU has the audacity to require its students to sign a covenant pledging not to engage in sexual activities outside the boundaries of marriage. (When I type marriage without scare quotes I mean the real thing, not as it has been redefined.)
TWU's prospective grads might now face discrimination from the Barrister Society of Nova Scotia. You can read the story here. The incoherence of a mandatory intolerance in the name of tolerance demonstrates that there is no reason to elevate tolerance to the status of a virtue. I urge our readers who live north of the border to make their opinions known to the Barrister Society as soon as possible.
